Description: This specacular large palm is native to damp hill forests of Borneo. It is similar in appearance to A. undulatifolia but differs in the less undulate leaves, darker petioles, and whitish coloration on the leaf undersurface. Cultivation recommendations: A tropical lowland plant requiring high humidity, and a minimum temperature of 20 C for good growth. Prefers rich but well-drained soil.
