Description: A large fan palm from swamp forests of northwestern Borneo. This species is not stem forming, but has very long petioles and large dark green leaves which are divided into wide wedge-shaped segments. Cultivation recommendations: A tropical lowland plant requiring high humidity, moderate shading, and a minimum temperature of 20 C for good growth. Requires very well-drained soil and frequent watering.
