Description: A large understory fan palm native to Sarawak and West Kalimantan. The leaves, which can be nearly a meter in diameter, are divided into 15 or more wedge-shaped segments. Old plants of this species can develop a short trunk.
Cultivation recommendations:
A tropical lowland plant requiring high humidity and a minimum temperature of 20 C for good growth. Prefers rich but well-drained soil that is slightly acidic.
