Description: This beautiful fan palm is native to hill forest of western Borneo. The dark green leaves are seldom more than 30 cm diameter and are held upright on unusually long petioles, making the plant appear very tall. Old plants form a slender trunk up to 2 meters in height. Cultivation recommendations: A tropical lowland plant requiring high humidity, moderate shading, and a minimum temperature of 20 C for good growth. Prefers rich and well-drained soil.
