Areca subacaulis (5 seedlings)
Description: This unusual Areca species is native to Borneo where it grows in shady forest on steep slopes. This miniature palm never develops a trunk and appears to be virtually stemless. The dark green leaves are stiffly leathery and are divided into two wedge-shaped segments.
Requires a warm tropical climate and shelter from wind. Plants do best with moderate to heavy shading.
